Thank you for coming to my page. First, let me tell you that this page is a work in progress. I’ll probably be constantly changing the format and the way I do my posts. I won’t always post (though I’ll try!) but my aim is to at least keep it active.
A little about myself:
My name is Jessie and I am 29 years old. I work in theatre as a props artisan at a theatre. I’m in love with my job, and it allows me to keep up with my passion of theatre while also allowing me to work with my creative side in construction/graphic design/art/sewing. I really am trying to change my awful lifestyle to help the environment, and usually tend to use organic/natural products as much as my small budget will allow me. I had been vegetarian a while, and just recently decided to take the plunge into veganism. I love animals, and the way our society treats farming animals and those bred for consumption is massively disgusting a heart wrenching. I decided that I wasn’t going to be a part of it anymore. I think everyone is here on their own journey, and they have to find what is right for them. Currently, this is what is right for me and I am much more happier person because of it.
I have been overweight my entire life, there is not a day that I know that I can’t say I don’t think of the fact and wish it wasn’t so. In high school I was on Weight Watchers which was good while it lasted. I did lose a good amount of weight, but being the weight that I am it always seems like an endless cycle and I’ll never reach the finish line so I stopped. Since then I’ve gained close to 100 lb. It’s shocking me to come to grips with, especially because I didn’t realize I had gained that much weight. I’m probably only 2-3 sizes away from my high school weight, and I never thought much of it until I finally stepped on the scale.
I have been at this for more years than I can count. Off and on, both in weight loss and on updating. I’m trying to make this lifestyle now a serious priority for me. I’m almost 30, and not a day goes by that I think “What if?”. This blog has always aided as tool to put down my thoughts. This blog is about my life, and will deal mostly with my weightloss but I love to go off track sometimes.
