Baby steps

Wow…

Has it really been that long since the last time I’ve posted on here? I mean, I know that no one is reading this to keep track, but I can’t help but feel a little let down at myself. Blah. What started as just not posting after a couple of days of the internet going out as soon as I wanted to post, turned into weeks of me being to lazy to open the iPhone app and type up any sort of post.

Well, that needs to change.

Things have been slowing down, especially at work. I just completed a 24 hour play festival that I acted in, and at work we are doing the ridiculously boring task of sorting through a lot of the props.

But really, in all honesty, I can’t complain all that much. I have a fantastic (thank-my-lucky-stars-how-did-I-get-so-freaking-lucky) job, fantastic friends, and three adorable little rats as my new roomies 🙂

What I’m not happy with AT ALL is my inablity to get back into the place I was at the begining of the summer, getting back on track on watching what I eat and exercising. I have a couple of times gone down to the gym we have here with Heather, but nothing crazy or routine. My eating habits are completely off track and horrible. I only have myself to blame, and really want to get back in to better habits.

Baby steps.

You know how the previous post had a list of goals that I wanted to accomplish? Well, I still want to do that, but I need to not rush into it so fast. I need to get into my head that if I just take things a day at a time, things will come easier. So right now I’m going to work on getting my water requirements in. I was doing really good with that about a week ago, and I don’t know what happened. Things crashed and I stopped, and then I just felt horrible and “hung over” all week.

I also have to force myself to track my foods. I have to, I have to, I have to. It’s the only things that helped me during the summer to really focus on what I ate and to stop myself from mindless eating.

So that’s what I’m going to do, for right now. Once I get into a good habit with those, then I can focus on other things.
